The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies into the community.

SASSA might be rendering companies for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency said it is alarmed regarding the higher number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This more info really is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The company level established for intervention experiences a higher inflow of probable beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for the office to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional methods to empower the servicing of all prospects and increase access to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.

For more information, SRD community members can call toll free during working days/hours on 0800 60 10 11 and WhatsApp on 082 046 8553. - SAnews.gov.za
